Climb while you heal. Send it!
Injuries shouldn’t mean sitting on the couch. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, longtime routesetter, and coach, I help climbers bridge the gap between rehab and performance. From acute injuries and chronic pain to stubborn plateaus, let’s identify the root cause, restore your capacity, and get you back to sending it!
Dr. Joshua Foster, DPT · CA license #305500 · Climbing since 2001

The philosophy
“If a provider tells you to just stop climbing for six weeks without looking at how you actually move—you're in the wrong place.”
Climbing is highly technical, beautifully weird, and incredibly demanding on your body. You deserve a specialist who knows exactly what it takes to stick an edge, load a shoulder on a deep sloper, drive a high heel-hook, or absorb a hard landing. My telehealth service bridges the gap between rehab and high-performance training so you never have to fully step away from the sport you love.

The route
How it works
Three pitches from first conversation to a plan you can actually climb on.
Pitch 1
Discover
15-min discovery call to learn goals, constraints, and whether PT or coaching fits.
Pitch 2
Assess
45-min initial evaluation (PT) or 45-min coaching assessment: movement screen, history, and climbing-specific demands over video.
Pitch 3
Follow through
30-min PT follow-ups to progress rehab, or a coaching plan after your assessment as your season unfolds.

Who this is for
A quick read on whether The Send Doctor is the right beta for you.
Great fit if you
- Have a climbing-related injury or tweak — upper body, lower body, spine, or movement-wide
- Can be in California at PT appointment time
- Want to keep climbing during rehab instead of a total shutdown
- Need a periodized plan for a trip, project, or comp season
- Prefer a clinician who speaks climbing, not generic gym PT
Not a fit if you
- Need in-person hands-on manual therapy this week
- Will be outside California at the PT appointment (use the out-of-state directory)
- Need emergency care or have red-flag symptoms
