The approach

Performance work from someone who sets and coaches

Coaching here is not a generic Hypertrophy PDF. It’s climbing-literate programming from a DPT who’s spent decades in gyms, comps, and on rock.

Performance coaching is for climbers who are ready to train with intention — whether that’s unlocking a long-term project, building a season toward a trip, or cleaning up movement habits that keep capping your grade.

We’ll use video, training history, and honest weekly capacity to build a plan you can run. Sessions are 60 minutes: enough time to review, coach, and leave with updates that matter before your next block on the wall.

Included

What coaching actually covers

Periodized plans

Blocks built around your trip, project season, or comp calendar — not a random weekly workout dump.

Movement feedback

Video review of tactics, posture, and efficiency so training transfers to the wall.

Strength that serves climbing

Fingers, pulling, hips, legs, and antagonist work sequenced so you gain capacity without torching recovery.

Accountability & iteration

Sessions to check progress, kill what’s not working, and keep the plan honest as life happens.

A session

How a 60-minute coaching call runs

  1. 01

    Scope the goal

What you’re projecting, when you need to peak, and what your current week actually looks like.

  2. 02

    Audit the gaps

Strength, power-endurance, skill, and recovery — where the plateau is really coming from.

  3. 03

    Train the plan

Leave with clear priorities, session structure, and checkpoints for the next block.

Fit check

Is coaching the right path?

Good fit

  • You’re healthy enough to train and want performance, not clinical rehab
  • You have a concrete goal (grade, trip, comp) or a stubborn plateau
  • You can film movement and follow a written plan between sessions
  • You’re anywhere in the world — coaching isn’t limited by PT licensure

Better elsewhere

  • You currently need injury diagnosis or medical rehab (that’s PT — CA only)
  • You want a hands-on spotter in the gym every session
  • You’re looking for a one-off “secret exercise” without changing training habits

Injured and in California? See physical therapy.
